Cooperation in Airport Operation

Incheon International Airport Corp. (IIAC) has signed a deal to provide airport operation expertise and consulting services to Indonesia's PT Angkasa Pura 1 (AP1).

Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) announced on Dec. 18 that it has signed a 570 million won (US$504,648) deal to provide airport operation expertise and consulting services to Indonesia's PT Angkasa Pura 1 (AP1).

AP1 is Indonesia’s state-run airport operator and currently operates 13 airports in eastern Indonesia, including Bali Airport. Under a two-year deal that starts next year, IIAC will train 470 executives and employees at 13 airports under the AP1 on seven sectors, including airport and terminal operation, leadership, passenger services, operation of commercial facilities, management of airport facilities, human resources and financial affairs.

IIAC is planning to develop its own customized training courses after researching and analyzing the characteristics of local airports and the training needs of AP1 executives and employees and provide consulting services optimized to the local environments. The training courses will be offered at the IIAC Human Resource Development Center and the local training center in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, IIAC has entered into partnership with the AP1 after carrying out commercial consulting business in Surabaya, Indonesia, from 2012 to 2015. Since then, the company has gained ground in the Indonesian market as it successfully succeeded in the Jakarta Airport ACI APEX program project in 2012, the Jakarta Airport expansion project management consulting (PMC) in 2013, the Surabaya Terminal 3 master plan (MP) establishment project in 2014 and the Jakarta Airport Terminal 3 commercial consulting project in 2015.
