Samsung Electronics is planning to build an artificial intelligence (AI) center in Montreal, Canada.
According to the electronics industry on October 16, the planned Montreal AI Center will be Samsung’s seventh AI center, and it is the second one to be built in Canada, following the one in Toronto.
At present, Samsung has AI centers in Seoul, Silicon Valley in the U.S., Cambridge in England, Moscow in Russia, and Toronto in Canada.
The new Montreal AI center will focus on developing commercial technologies for smart phones and TV appliances. Samsung has announced earlier that it plans to apply the AI function to all home appliances by 2020.
