Taihan Electric Wire has landed US$25.5 million ultra-high-voltage electric wire projects from Dubai and Qatar, the company announced on Aug. 8.


The company won a US$13 million 132-kV ultra-high-voltage electric wire project from Dubai and an US$11 million 220-kV ultra-high-voltage electric wire project from Qatar.

The project landed from Dubai was ordered by the Dubai Water and Power Authority. The project will build underground lines connecting new substations in many areas in Dubai and replacing processing lines. Taihan Electric Wire will supply all 132kV ultra-high-voltage cables and connection materials and be responsible for connection work.

The Qatar project will supply cables and fittings for the expansion of roads and related facilities in the Al Rayyan region in the middle of Qatar, and carry out connection work. The project was ordered by the Qatari Public Utilities Administration.

On top of that, Taihan Electric Wire is continuing to ramp up sales in the Middle East, winning a US$1.5 million 132kV ultra-high-voltage electric wire project from Dubai among others.
