A TV Thinner Than 30 mm
Samsung Electronics is planning to unveil another version of "The Wall Luxury TV" next year targeting ordinary consumers rather than corporate consumers.
Samsung Electronics President Han Jong-hee, head of the Visual Display (VD) Division of the company, announced the plan on July 20 at a press conference at the Samsung Digital City, which is located in Suwon.
“The new version of The Wall Luxury TV is expected to have a thickness of less than 30 mm, much thinner than the existing product for corporate consumers, which has a thickness of approximately 80 mm,” he said at the press conference.
“The price of the product will go down fast once mass production begins and some time passes,” he continued to say, adding, “The price of the new micro LED TV will be acceptable for the majority of consumers.”
