Samsung’s C. Lab Program

Samsung Electronics will give support to establishmentof start-ups based on three excellent projects of the Creative Lab (C. Lab), an in-house venture development program.


According to Samsung Electronics on June 6, the company introduced the C. Lab Spin-Off System for the first time in August 2015, and has since spun off a total of 34 start-ups.

The three teams that will begin as start-ups this time are Agwart that developed a household vegetable cultivation solution using the internet of things or IoT, Catch Flow which developed a mini portable directivity speaker and For Makers that developed a platform that finds right users for a company which needs user interviews based on data.

"In the three years since the introduction of the C. Lap Spin-Off System, about 130 employees attempted to start start-up businesses and set up 34 companies,” said Lee Jae-il, director of the Creative Development Center at Samsung Electronics. "We will contribute to job creation by continuing to support start-ups."

C. Lab is an in-house venture development program introduced by Samsung Electronics in December 2012 to spread a creative corporate culture and help employees discover and develop creative ideas.
