Best Compact Cars
A Hyundai-Kia Motors model has been selected as the best compact sedan in a USA Today survey. On November 11 (local time), USA Today announced the 2014 Kia Forte (K3 in Korea) and the 2013 Hyundai Elentra (Avante in Korea) have been selected as the best and second best compact sedans in 2013.
This evaluation was hosted by USA Today, automobile-related website with 11 million monthly visitors Cars.com, and PBS’s MotorWeek for vehicles under US$20K (21.4 million won).
Professionals and consumers surveyed for the evaluation went through test drives, efficiency measurements, and discussions for three days and then selected the Forte and Elentra as the top two compact sedans. Out of 1,000 points consisting of 75% professional opinion, 15% consumer opinion, and 10% efficiency rating, the Forte received 780 points and the Elantra 760.5. As for other vehicles on the list, the Honda Civic received 747 points, Nissan Sentra 673.5, and Toyota Corolla 673.
