Chey Min-jung, the younger daughter of Chey Tae-won, the chairman of SK Group, has recently founded a healthcare startup in the United States.

According to industry sources on March 28, Min-jung has been listed as a co-founder of Integral Health, an AI-based healthcare startup established recently. This comes about two years after she took a leave of absence from SK hynix in early 2022.

Integral Health partners with healthcare institutions in the U.S. to offer programs managing behavioral health.

Min-jung, who graduated from Peking University’s School of Economics and Management, studied capital markets, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and investment analysis in college. In 2014, her decision to voluntarily join the Navy as a cadet, a rare move for a chaebol (conglomerate) heiress, attracted significant attention.

After completing her service, she joined Hony Capital, a top-10 investment firm in China, where she gained experience in global M&As. She then joined SK hynix as an associate in 2019 before taking a leave of absence in early 2022. Subsequently, she served as an unpaid advisor at Done, a remote medical startup based in San Francisco, and volunteered in education at a local non-governmental organization (NGO) named SMART.
