Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun met with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a close confidant of former President Trump.
According to industry reports on March 12, Chung met with Sanders during her visit to Korea and discussed possible cooperation between the two sides. He was accompanied by Hyundai Motor President Jang Jae-hoon and Kim Il-beom, vice president of Hyundai’s Global Policy Office (GPO).
Chairman Chung and Governor Sanders reportedly discussed the possibility of Hyundai Motor Group’s future investment in the states of Arkansas in the United States.
Sanders has been a close confidant of former President Donald Trump, including serving as White House press secretary during his administration. Her role is expected to expand as Trump has been confirmed as the Republican presidential nominee.
