SK Bioscience announced on March 5 that its SKON employee communication application developed by the company won the communication category in the apps and software section at the iF Design Award 2024 held in Germany.

This year, the iF Design Award saw competition from over 11,000 entries from 56 countries worldwide. A panel of 133 judges evaluated entries across nine categories, including user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), product, packaging, communication, and service design, comprehensively assessing their design distinctiveness and impact of the submissions to select the award winners.

In the mobile app category, a total of 32 winning entries were selected, and among them, SKON was the only app developed specifically for employees.

SK Bioscience’s internally developed SKON received the top prize in the business management category at last year’s prestigious domestic mobile app evaluation awards, the “Smart App Awards.” With the recent iF Design Award, it further validates its excellence, usability, and practicality.

SKON is groupware for internal business processing and employee communication. It offers various services such as electronic approval, facility reservation, welfare benefits application, and community activities to enhance work convenience and satisfaction. The name SKON is derived from “SK” and “ON,” symbolizing a connection to SK.

SK Bioscience stated that it plans to solidify its position as a digital leader in the industry and utilize various platforms not only to enhance communication with employees but also to engage with the public in the future.
