Samsung Electronics’ Bespoke AI Dryer

Samsung Electronics announced on Feb. 15 that its Bespoke AI Dryer’s sales in Europe in 2023 have tripled compared to the previous year. The product’s heat pump technology has been well-received in the local market, with significant increases in major countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and France.

In North America, sales of the Bespoke AI Dryer also doubled in 2023 compared to the previous year. Samsung dryers topped the 2023 U.S. Consumer Satisfaction Evaluation by American market research company J.D. Power.

Samsung Electronics has implemented a high-efficiency, large-capacity digital inverter heat pump in the Bespoke AI Dryer to deliver superior drying performance. The digital inverter heat pump uses the heat generated by circulating refrigerant for drying, ensuring the drum’s internal maximum temperature does not exceed 60°C, thereby reducing the risk of fabric damage and offering higher energy efficiency compared to condensing dryers that use heaters.

Furthermore, the Bespoke AI Dryer features 360 degrees of air holes at the back of the drum, distributing strong and even airflow throughout, allowing for quick and thorough drying of a large amount of laundry.

Additional convenient features include AI Custom Drying, which periodically senses the humidity and temperature inside the dryer to adjust the optimal drying temperature and time; Auto Open Door, which automatically opens the door after drying to prevent moisture buildup inside the dryer; and AI Space Dehumidification, which maintains a comfortable humidity level within the laundry room.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is set to inherit the strengths of the Bespoke AI Dryer in its Bespoke AI Combo, a single unit capable of both washing and drying. This product was showcased at CES last January, receiving high praise from global visitors, and is scheduled for release in the first quarter.
