FILA announced on Feb. 5 that Chairman Gene Yoon met FILA+ Creative Director Lev Tanju in Seoul on Feb. 1 to discuss their upcoming global premium line, marking a momentous step in the brand’s history spanning over 100 years.

Tanju, the founder of world-renowned skatewear brand Palace and one of the most influential creative directors of the present era, arrived in Korea on Jan 29. He then held meetings with FILA Holdings Chairman Yoon and key personnel from FILA Korea on Feb. 1, as they engaged in discussions about core issues regarding FILA+, the new elevated sports line that will be launched for the Fall/Winter season 2024. Tanju also personally invited Yoon and FILA officials to witness preparations first-hand for the opening of the inaugural Palace store in Korea.

Tanju was announced as the first FILA+ Creative Director last month. He initially shared a detailed progress and direction update with Yoon at the FILA+ showroom during January's Paris Fashion Week.

When they met again in Seoul, they discussed additional details about FILA+, which Tanju is expected to establish as a milestone in FILA's redefinition as a "premium lifestyle sports brand." Their agenda also reflected Yoon's anticipation that this project collaborating with a globally recognized creative director will attract high interest in the new line both in Korea and around the world.

FILA+ will reinterpret sports heritage with modern design and high-quality materials, featuring a premium line that is expected to include diverse clothing, shoes, and accessories.

While respecting FILA's tradition, we will introduce a new innovative product line that can captivate customers.”
