Italian supercar brand Lamborghini sold more cars in South Korea than in its home country of Italy in 2023.

Lamborghini, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023, sold 10,112 units globally, up 10 percent from the previous year, the company said on Jan. 31. This was the first time Lamborghini has surpassed the 10,000-unit annual sales mark. South Korea was one of the fastest-growing markets for the Italian supercar brand.

In 2023, Lamborghini sold 434 vehicles in South Korea alone. This 8 percent year-on-year growth makes South Korea the seventh-largest market for Lamborghini, overtaking Italy (8th), where 409 units were sold.

In 2023, South Korea ranked seventh in Lamborghini’s global sales rankings (by volume). The United States accounted for the most units (3,000); followed by Germany (961); China, Hong Kong and Macau (845); the United Kingdom (801); Japan (660); the Middle East (496); South Korea (434); Italy (409); Canada (357); Australia (263); France and Monaco (255); Switzerland (211); Taiwan (131); and India (103).
