AI audio company Gaudio Lab announced on Jan. 30 that its Just Voice technology has been named a finalist in the Audio Experience category of the Innovation Awards at South by Southwest (SXSW).

SXSW began in 1987 as a small music festival in Austin, Texas and has grown to become a conference and festival at the intersection of technology, film, music, education and culture. It is considered a place for creative ideas from startups from around the world, and each year the organization gives out innovation awards to recognize the most innovative products or technologies in a particular field.

While the CES Innovation Awards gives prizes to over 500 products in 29 categories, SXSW selects a maximum of five products per category only as finalists in 11 categories. This means that a maximum of 55 products can be named finalists, with winners announced at the venue of SXSW.

A finalist in the Audio Experience category of the SXSW 2024 Innovation Awards, Gaudio Lab’s Just Voice is software that uses AI to remove noise in real time to make your voice clear. It improves unclear sounds in a variety of situations including video conferencing, streaming, VOD services, and video playback. It is light and fast, making it easy to deploy across devices and platforms for seamless, immersive experiences. In recognition of this, Just Voice technology will be applied to Naver Cloud Platform’s Whale Browser.

After winning an innovation prize at CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics show, earlier this year, Just Voice was named a finalist for the Innovation Award at SXSW 2024, for its innovation, excellence, and usability. Gaudio Lab will be making its European debut at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, in February and will take the stage at the SXSW Showcase in Texas in March. At CES in January, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella visited Gaudio Lab’s booth to try out FALL-E, sound-generating AI, and called the technology amazing.
