Hugel announced on Jan. 29 that it has launched HA fillers in Thailand. The company successfully launched the products after obtaining a product license from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) in August last year, becoming the first company to enter the Thai HA filler, botulinum toxin, and PDO suture markets.

To celebrate the brand launch, Hugel held a seminar at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai on Jan. 16, attended by more than 250 local healthcare professionals (HCPs). Themed “Filling Like New You,” the event featured international and local authorities who shared their latest, region-specific insights.

Dr. Bejan Sultani, a plastic surgeon from MoryClinics GmbH in Germany, explained the benefits and safety of the product based on his extensive clinical experience, while Professor Tanvaa Tansatit, a professor of medicine at Siam University, Thailand, and dermatologist Vatchapon Tanamittramanee, M.D., presented the current status of the Thai filler market and the product in general.

Prior to the launch seminar, Sultani conducted a small hands-on training session for beginners. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the professional training, which allowed them to experience the formulation and injection of the product first-hand as well as to receive treatment techniques.

“As Hugel’s botulinum toxin holds the number one market share in Thailand, our HA filler is also receiving a lot of attention from local doctors,” said an official from Hugel. “We will continue to communicate with key opinion leaders to successfully establish our products and further expand our power in the market.”
