Meditox announced on Jan. 29 that its “Neuraderm” has been launched on Japan’s largest e-commerce platform, Rakuten Ichiba (Rakuten).

Rakuten is known as Japan’s largest e-commerce shopping platform, boasting an annual transaction volume of 5.6 trillion yen (US$37.82 billion) and holding a high market share. With over 100 million members, it is recognized as an indispensable distribution channel for those entering the Japanese market.

Meditox has commenced the sale of various products, including the Neuraderm Core Time Ampoule, 3 types of Neurotox Line, 4 types of Neuro Daily Line, Cream MD, and face masks, on Rakuten. Given the growing interest in Korean beauty products in Japan, Meditox aims to expand its local market share through Rakuten by developing a marketing strategy specifically tailored to the local market, leveraging distinctive ingredients and product efficacy.

A representative from Meditox stated, “With the increasing interest in K-beauty, there has been a significant rise in the consumption of high-performance derma cosmetics from Korea in the Japanese market. By entering Rakuten, we aim to capture the Japanese market and provide Neuraderm with the opportunity to leap into a global brand.”

Meanwhile, Neuraderm is a cosmetic brand by Meditox that is built upon the core ingredient “M.Biome,” which represents Meditox’s expertise in neurology and dermatology research and development. This expertise has been acquired through research on botulinum toxin preparations and fillers.
