Pernod Ricard Korea Co., Ltd. (hereafter “Pernod Ricard Korea”) has announced that it is launching ‘The Glenlivet 21YO’, which offers unexampled softness based on The Glenlivet’s unique craftsmanship.

This new product is a renewal of the existing ‘The Glenlivet 21 Year Old’. By applying a new whisky created through innovative maturation techniques and a premium, modern package design, it has taken the quality of single malt whisky to a new level. This is the result of the core philosophy of The Glenlivet, an icon of innovation, that consists in inheriting the challenging spirit of founder George Smith and not settling for the present but pushing the boundary.

The Glenlivet’s cask expert Kevin Balmforth and his team focused on improving the quality of the undiluted whisky, which is the core of the product. Based on the blending know-how accumulated over a long period of two hundred years and continuous research, he finally completed The Glenlivet 21 Year Old as it is, which boasts more complex and perfect balance than older products.

The core of this product lies in its unique finishing aging. It is a triple maturation that uses first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks, rare Troncais Cognac casks, and vintage Colheita Port casks. As a result, the sweet scent of caramelized pears and rich, juicy sultanas are conveyed, and deriving from the Cognac cask influence, it is intertwined with fragrant nutmeg and cinnamon, leaving a long and rich spice finish.

Eyes are drawn to the more premium package that becomes a prestige single malt whisky. By adding a luxurious bronze color to mint, The Glenlivet’s signature color, it creates a modern yet luxurious feel. Here, a wave pattern is added to the front of the box package to express The Glenlivet’s unique, perfect softness.
