Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced Seoul Smart Life Week at the Seoul Innovation Forum 2024 held in Las Vegas in the U.S. on Jan. 9.

Seoul Smart Life Week is a three-year mid- to long-term plan to showcase Seoul’s innovative technology companies to the world using the city’s smart network as a foundation, and to establish an international platform that leads future technology trends.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to host the Seoul Smart Life Week (Exhibition + Awards + Forum) Oct. 7 to 9 at COEX in Seoul.

Seoul Smart Life Week will feature an exhibition showcasing Seoul’s smart city excellence and the advanced innovative technologies of domestic companies. It will provide opportunities for experiencing the daily life of smart city Seoul, securing overseas expansion routes for companies, and attracting investment.

This road map emphasizes building Smart Leading City Seoul as a representative global convention that presents a vision for a future smart city through activation of urban government networks, expansion of corporate innovative product exchanges, and fostering advanced innovation smart city technology exchange and cooperation between cities and companies globally.

This year, Seoul will showcase its smart city technologies and create a platform for companies to expand overseas, mediated by the existing Seoul Smart City Award.

Mayor Oh Se-hoon expressed his ambition, “We will launch Seoul Smart Life Week well, showcasing the products and services of companies leading the innovation ecosystem in Seoul, and challenge ourselves to develop it to the level of CES within three years.”
