South Korean heavy machinery and electronic components manufacturer LS Mtron announced on Jan. 22 that it will showcase its business-to-business (B2B) solutions at a globally recognized information technology (IT) exhibition.

The company will participate in the technology exhibition DesignCon 2024, scheduled to take place from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 in California in the U.S. With a 30-year history, DesignCon 2024 is an annual exhibition held in Silicon Valley, featuring the participation of over 130 global companies specializing in components, materials, equipment, and software.

This year at the exhibition, LS Mtron will promote itself to customers in the Americas and carry out marketing for its new products. The company will unveil the world’s smallest 4-row B2B connector with a pitch of 0.175 millimeters (mm) and the world’s first electromagnetic interference (EMI) fully shielded B2B connector.

The world’s smallest 4-row B2B connector with a 0.175 mm pitch is an electronic component designed for small wearable devices such as watches, earphones, and smartphones. It has achieved a 40% reduction in size compared to conventional 0.35 mm pitch B2B connectors. Its compact size allows for compatibility with ultra-small wearable devices, and with the same dimensions, it can accommodate more functionalities.

The EMI fully shielded B2B connector is a component used in 5G mmWave smartphones and smart devices operating at high frequencies, specifically 24 gigahertz and above. This product is mass-produced and supplied to global customers, featuring a triple fully shielded structure that enables stable data transmission for 5G mmWave antenna modules.
