Hyosung TNS showcased its latest unmanned payment solution, JetCheck, at the NRF 2024 retail trade show held in New York from Jan. 14 to 16.
JetCheck is an unmanned checkout counter that provides a seamless payment experience and assists in store operations. This unmanned payment solution includes both hardware manufacturing and customized software tailored for optimal consumer experience.
As a leading player in the ATM market in numerous countries, including South Korea and the United States, Hyosung TNS is expanding its business scope into the unmanned payment solution market by leveraging its existing expertise in financial IT.
JetCheck comes in three models -- C (Cash), X (eXpress), and E (Entry) -- allowing for flexible adoption based on the size of the store or customer needs.
The flagship model, C, is an unmanned checkout counter equipped with versatile payment options, including cash, card, and mobile payments, along with features such as weight measurement, membership points accumulation, and store promotions. Other models offer flexibility by allowing adjustments to functionalities and sizes based on the store’s scale, offering a scaled-down version of the features available in C.
In addition, Hyosung TNS introduced a product equipped with an AI Vision solution developed in collaboration with the retail technology specialist, Shinsegae I&C. The AI Vision solution helps prevent abnormal payments, such as scanning omissions and theft, by detecting them in advance during the payment process.
Hyosung TNS’s medium- to long-term goal is to become a leader in the unmanned payment solution industry as well beyond the ATM market. Actively promoting JetCheck, which allows cash transactions, in the United States, where cash transactions are prevalent, the company aims to expand its market share by offering customer-tailored products that suit the global market.
