Hyundai Motor Company announced on Jan. 12 that it has unveiled the IONIQ 5 N Performance Concept model NPX1 loaded with N Performance parts for the first time at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon.

The IONIQ 5 N Performance Concept Model NPX1 features lightweight hybrid carbon wheels, high-performance brake pads, and lowered springs to enhance its dynamic driving performance, while the model’s interior features Alcantara materials and racing bucket seats to enhance its luxurious feel.

In particular, it features aero parts optimized for high-performance driving, including front splitters made of real carbon, side skirts, rear diffusers, and rear wing spoilers.

The parts applied to this concept model are prototypes that will present Hyundai Motor’s vision of future N Performance parts. Hyundai Motor is planning to introduce the IONIQ 5 N Performance parts in 2024 by refining product development. In addition, the automaker will expand its product lineup by launching N Performance parts for all N brand models in the global market.

Through N Performance, an exclusive parts brand of its high-performance brand N, Hyundai Motor is continuing to develop parts products for the IONIQ 5 N as well as the Avante N, the i30N, and the i20N.

N Performance parts were first launched in 2019, and since 2023, a dedicated organization has been conducting specialized product research and development. Hyundai Motor increased the joy of driving cars with exterior parts such as spoilers and diffusers made of real carbon, interior parts such as a steering wheel and parking brake made of Alcantara, brake system with Monoblock 4-piston calipers and hybrid large-diameter discs, lightweight forged wheels, and other design and performance-enhancing items across all N models.
