On Jan. 10 (local time), Park Jeong-won, the chairman of Doosan Group, visited the CES 2024 event at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the United States. Accompanying him were several top executives, including Park Ji-won, vice chairman of the Group; Scott Park, vice chairman of Doosan Bobcat; Jeong Yeon-in, vice chairman of Doosan Enerbility; and Kim Do-won, president of Doosan Corporation’s Chief Strategy Office.

At the Doosan booth, themed “Our Planet, Our Future,” Chairman Park remarked, “AI technology is not exclusive to IT companies. Doosan, as showcased here, already possesses technologies and products applying AI in the fields of collaborative robots and construction machinery, demonstrating high competitiveness.”

During the exhibition, Doosan Robotics and Doosan Bobcat garnered significant attention by showcasing robot solutions and unmanned, electric small-to-medium equipment that autonomously learn and make decisions using AI technology. Doosan Bobcat unveiled for the first time their unmanned, electric articulated tractor 'AT450X' equipped with AI technology.

Doosan Enerbility displayed a scale model of an SMR (Small Modular Reactor) for the first time at this CES, showcasing their technological edge over competitors. Chairman Park stated, “With the advancement of AI, there will naturally be an increased demand for power due to the rise in data center installations. Next-generation energy sources like SMRs could be a viable alternative."

He emphasized, “We must actively utilize new technologies and innovate to provide safer and smarter work environments and contribute to creating a cleaner world.”
