MBK Partners announced that Moon Joo-Ho, the executive director in charge of special situations investments in Korea, was promoted to the position of partner and vice president on Jan. 1.

Vice President Moon graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. He began his career at Goldman Sachs’ Hong Kong office and then worked at Goldman Sachs Seoul, J.P. Morgan Seoul, and H&Q Korea before joining MBK Partners Special Situations in 2018.

Moon has been a key operator in MBK Partners’ major domestic investments, leading transactions in companies such as bhc, MegazoneCloud, and SK on. He will now participate in key decision-making processes and exercise investment decision-making authority as a member of the investment committee.
