Doosan Group announced on Jan. 9 (local time) that it held a press conference ahead of the opening of CES 2024 in Las Vegas in the U.S. on Jan. 8 (local time).

The event was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas with the attendance of more than 200 media employees from around the world.

Among other things, Doosan Bobcat unveiled the AT450X, the industry’s first driverless and electric articulated tractor with AI technology. The AT450X was co-developed with Agtonomy, a Silicon Valley new agricultural technology software company. It showed unmanned driving through a narrow and steep winery, which drew much attention from attendees.

Doosan Enerbility laid out a plan to develop carbon-free total energy solutions including hydrogen turbines, small modular reactors (SMRs) and wind power generation systems. The company announced its vision to develop the world’s first 400 MW ultra-large hydrogen turbine by 2027. The company also announced its ambition to build on its competitiveness in the large-scale nuclear power plant business to become a global SMR foundry leader in the SMR market.

Doosan’s U.S. subsidiary HyAxiom unveiled a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydroelectrolysis system that reached the world’s highest energy efficiency. Hydroelectrolysis is a technology that extracts hydrogen by electrolyzing water and produces green hydrogen by utilizing renewable energy such as wind and solar power.

Doosan Robotics introduced more advanced robotic solutions through AI. Its collaborative robots used in various fields with precise human movement have evolved to learn, predict, judge and perform tasks on their own.

In the meantime, Doosan will exhibit under the theme of “Our Planet, Our Future” at its 780-square-meter Booth 5941 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) during the CES period. Doosan Group Chairman Park Jung-won will visit the CES venue with his executives, including Group Vice Chairman Park Ji-won, to observe the latest technology trends and seek future business directions.
