LS Mtron is expediting its penetration of the U.S. market by securing an agricultural machinery export hub in central Texas in the United States.

According to industry sources on Jan. 1, LS Mtron will complete a tractor logistics center and assembly plant in Palestine, Texas, in February. The facility will double as a warehouse for storing products and after-sales parts and a facility to carry out part of the assembly process.

The investment is aimed at boosting LS Mtron’s tractor export capabilities to the United States. The company has similar tractor export centers in North Carolina and Western California. It plans to build one in Central Texas to facilitate logistics flow.

LS Mtron’s main products are small and medium-sized tractors under 100 horsepower. The U.S. agricultural landscape is dominated by large acreage farms, making small and medium-sized tractors a niche market item in the U.S. market.

LS Mtron is considered to have the best technology in the 20 to 60 horsepower compact tractor market. The company recently inked a business agreement with CNH Industrial of the United Kingdom, the world’s second-largest agricultural machinery company, to jointly develop compact tractors.
