LG Household & Health Care is set to introduce its beauty tech device IMPRINTU for the first time in North America. The company has garnered significant interest as it plans to reveal completely unique images created using artificial intelligence (AI) at CES 2024, which will be held for four days starting Jan. 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the U.S.

IMPRINTU is a portable tattoo printer that easily transfers designs onto the skin or suitable fabric materials. Customers can choose their desired designs from a mobile application, which are then flawlessly imprinted. Notably, the device utilizes designs created by LG’s advanced AI research wing’s EXAONE Atelier, a large-scale AI system. It offers a range of themes, including Flowers & Nature, Geometric & Shapes, and Lettering, enabling users to materialize whatever designs they desire.

LG’s EXAONE Atelier, used by IMPRINTU, is a multimodal AI trained on approximately 350 million images, phrases, videos, and various other data types. When specific phrases are input into EXAONE Atelier, it generates completely new images related to those phrases. These images are then refined by designers to create the final design.

A spokesperson from LG Household & Health Care commented, “We are considering innovative customer experience strategies that will allow customers who wish to spontaneously express their individuality to create their own designs using AI.”
