Medytox announced on Dec. 13 that its subsidiary, NEWMECO, has launched a next-generation botulinum toxin product named NEWLUX. NEWMECO received product approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in August for NEWLUX, a botulinum toxin formulation that eliminates the use of animal-derived components in the raw material production process, effectively preventing potential allergic reactions caused by animal antigens.
Even before its launch, NEWLUX had attracted considerable attention, with the entire shipment for this month already pre-ordered. NEWMECO, producing NEWLUX at Meditox’s third factory, aims to quickly become the leading toxin product in Korea through large-scale supply. Furthermore, the company has established a tailored market entry strategy for each country and plans to start full-scale exports in the latter half of next year.
