On Nov. 26, Chairman Jung Ki-hwan of the Korea Racing Authority visited Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky, the U.S., to sign a business agreement for mutual development in the thoroughbred horse breeding industry.

Taylor Made Farm, located in Kentucky, the Mecca of the American horse industry, specializes in the production and nurturing of racehorses. The Korea Racing Authority is also renowned as the owner of “Knicks Go,” the racehorse that topped the world racing rankings in 2021 and became a champion.

The agreement includes provisions for the management and promotional support of Knicks Go for the development of the Korea Racing Authority’s overseas breeding program, sharing information for the selection of superior racehorses, and collaboration on issues for mutual benefit, including reviews, discussions, and problem-solving.

Chairman Jung stated, “Before Knicks Go is brought to Korea, the Korea Racing Authority plans to continue providing local free breeding rights to Knicks Go, worth about US$15,000 to Korean racehorse breeders.”
