Lotte Property & Development Co. (Lotte P&D) has announced that Lotte World Tower is displaying the message “BUSAN IS NO.1” on its exterior media facade in support of the last-minute bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo. Since Sept. 18, the tower has been broadcasting phrases like “BUSAN IS READY” and “HIP KOREA” on its exterior walls to express support for Busan’s bid to host the Expo.
From Nov. 24 to 28 the tower is displaying the newly added slogan “BUSAN IS NO.1” in line with Busan being assigned Number 1 in the voting process. Every hour on the hour after sunset for 10 minutes, the top lantern section of the tower will be lit with a Korean traditional Taeguk pattern, adding strength to the final push for the bid until the final voting day in Paris on Nov. 28 (local time).
