SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won recently commented on his relationship with ex-wife No So-young, the director of Art Center Nabi, stating, “Our marital relationship had completely collapsed well before I met someone new. For years, we were only nominally a couple, living as strangers with nothing but distrust between us. Both parties now desire a divorce, and a first-instance decision has been made to that effect.”

Currently on a business trip abroad, Chairman Chey communicated through his attorney on Nov. 12, expressing his dismay at No So-young’s actions: “I am baffled to see Director No So-young stirring controversy by unilaterally presenting her side to the media regarding ongoing matters in court, in an attempt to secure a favorable outcome in the remaining divorce settlement trial. It is inappropriate to spark social controversy over personal matters, and I apologize to the public for any disturbance caused amid various critical situations.”

The legal representative of Chairman Chey addressed the current situation, saying, “Both individuals wish to divorce, leading to a first-instance divorce ruling. Currently, the appellate court is only debating the division of property and the amount of alimony, a trial that has been going for five years.”
