On Oct. 26, KGC Korea Ginseng Corporation announced its participation in North America’s largest health food ingredient exhibition, SupplySide WEST 2023.
For the first time this year, KGC Korea Ginseng Corporation operated a JUNG KWAN JANG booth at the ingredient exhibition, showcasing a variety of red ginseng products and standardized red ginseng ingredients. JUNG KWAN JANG, which exports more than 250 products to over 40 countries worldwide, introduced formulations at this expo that can be used as ingredients for various health foods, including red ginseng concentrate, red ginseng concentrate powder, and red ginseng powder.
Notably, JUNG KWAN JANG drew considerable attention by conducting a red ginseng seminar during the exhibition. Dr. Lee Su-kyung from the KGC Korea Ginseng Corporation R&D Center presented JUNG KWAN JANG’s rigorous ingredient management, processing, and quality control standards to produce the finest red ginseng ingredients. She also highlighted the global-level research and development capabilities that enable the standardization of red ginseng, drawing from the company’s 124-year history as a leading ginseng enterprise.
Professor Oh Se-kwan from the Ewha Womans University College of Medicine discussed the scientifically verified functional benefits of South Korean red ginseng, which have been recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Through various research papers and clinical trial data, he elucidated the excellence of “K-Red Ginseng” in improving immunity, fatigue recovery, blood circulation, memory enhancement, and its antioxidant properties.
Last March, KGC Korea Ginseng Corporation established a research & development (R&D) center in the United States. It has been pushing forward with efficacy research and ingredient standardization. The corporation is also accelerating the development of locally tailored products in the U.S. health food market, capturing preferred materials and functionalities.
