The Venture Business Association announced that it hosted a Deutsche Telekom Magenta Management Meet-Up event in collaboration with Deutsche Telekom on Oct. 20 in the Gangnam district of Seoul.

Deutsche Telekom, headquartered in Germany, is Europe’s largest telecommunications company, serving approximately 245 million customers across 50 countries.

The goal of the Venture Business Association is to introduce the current state of Korea’s innovative industries to Germany and support innovative Korean venture businesses in forming strategic partnerships with Deutsche Telekom. This initiative drove the recent event.

Attending the event were Sung Sang-yeop, president of the Association; Tim Höttges, chairman of Deutsche Telekom; and a delegation of over 10 executives.

During the event, Gong Kyung-rok, CEO of K2G Fund, delivered a keynote speech on “Korea’s Startup Ecosystem,” discussing the overall domestic startup ecosystem and the overseas expansion needs of domestic companies.

The event also featured presentations by companies including ICTK, a security solution provider specializing in Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) based solutions; HFR, a specialized communications equipment manufacturer; FRTek, a mobile communication system specialist; DeepBrain AI, a generative AI specialist; and Wayne Hills Bryant A.I, an AI startup specialist, all showcasing their technological strengths and potential collaboration points.
