Samsung SDI will display a range of electric vehicle (EV) batteries at the 2023 Korea Future Mobility Expo held at EXCO, Daegu for three days starting from Oct. 19.

Centering on the PRiMX battery, Samsung SDI will showcase various EV batteries and technologies that encapsulate “unparalleled technical competitiveness.” Samsung SDI’s next-generation lineup, such as the 46 mm P6 cylindrical battery and the P5 battery, both of which are successive generations of prismatic batteries, will also be on display.

Furthermore, Samsung SDI will reveal the road map for its solid-state battery, set for mass production in 2027. The company has currently completed the pilot line for solid-state batteries within its Suwon Research Institute and is deeply engaged in securing mass production technology.

To enhance visitors’ understanding, Samsung SDI will also display vehicles such as a BMW i7 equipped with the P5 battery and e-scooters. The company will also introduce its medium-to-long term vision of “Realizing a Sustainable and Eco-friendly Future Society through Unparalleled Technology” and its environmental, social, and governance management, which includes recycling used batteries and carbon reduction activities.
