EV Parking Service (EVPS) announced on Oct. 5 that they have recently signed a letter of intent with the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians Government in the U.S. and plan to break ground on two electric vehicle charging station assembly factories with a combined annual production capacity of 200,000 units within this year.

According to the company, the first factory will be set up on approximately 324,000 square meters of land within the Cabazon Indian Autonomous Government’s jurisdiction with an annual production line for around 100,000 units. The factory will assemble electric vehicle chargers and produce solar panels and modules.

The second factory, with a production capacity of about 100,000 units annually, is scheduled to be established at the Pechanga Casino Resort in California. With these plans, EVPS’s total production volume of electric vehicle chargers in the U.S. is expected to reach 200,000 units annually. The company estimates that “considering the production status of slow and fast chargers, the annual sales of each factory could exceed 200 billion won.”

An EVPS official said, “The Indian Autonomous Government has already completed permits related to infrastructure such as electricity, roads, and sewage for the establishment of the factory, and since the Indian autonomous region is a tax-free zone, we expect to have a competitive advantage in price.” He also mentioned, “Even though the factory is not yet completed, we have already scheduled large orders, and we are currently discussing supply with domestic and foreign manufacturers.”
