On Sept. 25, KB Kookmin Bank announced that it signed an MOU with VNPT EPAY, a leading electronic payment company in Vietnam, on Sept. 21.

Since its initial foray into Ho Chi Minh City in the southern part of Vietnam in 2011, KB Kookmin Bank expanded its presence by opening a branch in the northern city of Hanoi in 2019. Currently, the bank operates two branches in Vietnam, offering a diverse range of corporate financial services including deposits, loans, foreign exchange, payment systems, and internet banking to its corporate clients.

Through the recent MOU with VNPT EPAY, the bank can enhance its corporate financial services, particularly in cash management for businesses.

For their first collaboration, KB Kookmin Bank and VNPT EPAY have introduced a payment collection service for large retail enterprises. With this service, businesses can accept payments using the bank’s QR code and immediately view transaction records on the KB Kookmin Bank Vietnam app.
