Pekka Metso, ambassador of Finland to the Republic of Korea, speaks at the 50th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Finland.

An event commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Finland was held at KOTE in Insa-dong on Thursday, September 21, and Finnish health tech company Naava Korea (CEO Nam-kyu Lee) also participated as a main partner in this event.

On August 24, 1973, the presidents of Korea and Finland established diplomatic relations, hoping for cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the formation of this special bond, and to commemorate this, a meaningful event was prepared to pledge friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

At this event, the Korean and Finnish governments signed a TIPF* (Trade and Investment Promotion Framework) MOU to strengthen economic cooperation, including trade, investment, and supply chain cooperation.

*TIPF is a non-binding cooperation business agreement that seeks to secure cooperation in the trade, industry, and energy sectors and expand opportunities for Korean companies to participate in the market.

This business agreement is expected to serve as a solid foundation for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries, and is expected to serve as a key strategy for strengthening cooperation in the digital and clean energy fields in particular. Naava Korea plans to accelerate the development of new products and market expansion using Finland's cutting-edge technology.

Namkyu Lee, CEO of Naava Korea, said, "This agreement will be an opportunity for our company to grow further and provide better products and services to customers through cooperation with Finland." He added, "We will continue to pursue technological innovation in the future." “Through global partnerships, we will strengthen our leadership in the air purification solutions field.”

Naava Korea, which attended this event, received attention as Finland's leading health tech company and as a symbol of the healthy relationship between Korea and Finland. He added, "Naava Korea will continue to strive for friendship and cooperation between Korea and Finland, and will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, especially through cooperation in the field of health and well-being."
