SK C&C is joining forces with NEAR Protocol to expand the convergent Web3.0 service ecosystem. On Sept. 21, SK C&C revealed that they have entered into a “strategic partnership for Web3.0 business expansion” with the NEAR Foundation, which oversees the Layer1 blockchain NEAR Protocol. Through this partnership, the two entities will work on establishing a mutual support system to strengthen business networks, collaborative research and business cooperation on blockchain technology across all industries, and global joint marketing for brand awareness and Web3.0 ecosystem activation.

Primarily, SK C&C will integrate its blockchain platform, ChainZ, with the NEAR Protocol, venturing into the convergent Web3.0 market that supports both public and private blockchains. They plan to quickly generate business synergy in areas such as financial infrastructure, second-hand trade platforms, shared economy platforms, and in the issuance of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in the gaming, content, and distribution sectors.

Additionally, they are exploring the development of Web 3.0 services in enterprise systems like supply chain management and Enterprise Resource Planning. SK C&C has plans to elevate the level of supply chain management by leveraging the ChainZ platform’s patented key management technology for security and account management convenience, as well as the fast processing speed, scalability, and multi-chain interoperability unique to the NEAR Protocol.

Choi Cheol, head of SK C&C’s Web3 & Convergence group, stated, “Starting with the NEAR Protocol, we will strengthen our collaboration with various public blockchain enterprises that have already been verified in the market and venture into the expansion of the Web3.0 service ecosystem.”
