Samsung has embarked on a mission to secure highly skilled foreign talent with research expertise. This marks the first time that Samsung is recruiting foreign professionals with experience to work in South Korea.

Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, and Samsung SDI announced on Aug. 28 that they will be conducting recruitment for foreign professionals with experience in the research and development (R&D) field.

Samsung has introduced a recruitment process for foreign experienced professionals wishing to work domestically in South Korea. The foreign personnel to be recruited through this initiative will perform their duties within the domestic workplaces of each respective Samsung subsidiary, just like local employees.

The recruitment targets individuals who are expected to graduate from university in February next year or those who have already graduated from university, and preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of relevant work experience after obtaining their bachelor’s degree. For those with master’s or doctoral degrees, or expected degrees, the academic period will be recognized as part of their work experience. Samsung has restricted eligibility for applicants to those who hold a “Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) Level 3 or higher” certification.

Prospective applicants can submit their applications through Samsung’s recruitment website from today until Sept. 8. Samsung plans to conduct document screening in September, interviews in October, and health check-ups in November to select the final candidates.

Currently, Samsung Electronics and other Samsung group companies are also conducting recruitment for experienced personnel among domestic R&D staff.
