Us-based Consumer Reports recently said after an experiment that the iPhone X is inferior to other smartphones in terms of durability and battery life.

In the experiment, three iPhone Xs were put into a small container and an impact was applied at various angles. As a result, one of the three showed significant cracking after 100 rotations and the other two showed display malfunction along with green lines on the display panels after 50 rotations. When it comes to battery life, the battery of the iPhone X lasted 19.5 hours whereas that of the Galaxy S8 lasts an average of 26 hours.

“The same damage to the display and back panel cracking were also found during our previous test of the Galaxy S8,” Consumer Reports explained, adding, “However, it is more expensive to fix the iPhone X, US$279 for the display and US$549 for the other components including the rear glass to be specific.”

In the meantime, Apple refused to accept the result of the experiment, claiming that the iPhone X is the most durable glass-based smartphone, although it commented that Consumer Reports tested the durability of the iPhone X with strict criteria.
