Hyundai E&C announced on June 21 that the contractor recently received orders for a US$162 million landfill in the west of the Tuas area and a US$74 million landfill in the east of the Changi region.

The order for the construction of the land fill in the western part of the Tuas area placed by the Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) is scheduled to begin next month, and the project will take 57 months to complete.

The HDB of Singapore placed the order for the landfill in the east of the Changyi region. Hyundai E&C will carry out landfill construction in the southeastern area of Changi Airport for the expansion of Changi Airport and the relocation of related roads for 24 months.

Hyundai E&C, which entered Singapore in 1981, has successfully completed 55 projects worth US$ 9.8 billion, and is currently working at ten construction sites (US$3.6 billion) including infrastructure, civil engineering and construction work.
