Ssangyong Motors announced on May 17 that it will reinforce its sales network in Saudi Arabia and strengthen its presence in the Middle Eastern market in earnest.

Ssangyong Motors opened a new dealership and launched a new model in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia on May 15 (local time).

Ssangyong Motors begun to work on restructuring its sales network in the Saudi Arabian market in 2014 in order to expand global sales volume and secure emerging markets. At the beginning of this year, the Korean automaker signed a new sales agent agreement with Abdullah Saleh Al Bajai Automotive in Saudi Arabia. This event took the wrap off the Tivoli Air (export name: XLV), and the new style Korando C (export name: Korando) in the kingdom.

"As economic cooperation between Korea and Saudi Arabia has been actively discussed recently, we are very excited about future growth in the automotive sector," said Choi Jong-sik, CEO of Ssangyong Motors. “With models with globally competitiveness such as the Tivoli and the G4 Rexton, we will continue to develop new markets and expand sales volume so that we will solidify our position as a global SUV company not only in the Middle Eastern market but in the global market."
