Hyundai Elevator announced that the company was awarded the gold medal at the iF Design Award for the first time in the global elevator industry.

The “ANIVATOR,” presented by Hyundai Elevator, was selected as a gold prize winner in the Professional Concept category at the iF Design Award 2017 in Munich, Germany.

The ANYVATOR has a very large display with multi-touch function inside the elevator, so you can enter the destination floor anywhere you touch your finger. Not only small children but also disabled or wheel-chaired people can use it without constrains, and multiple people can select their floors at the same time, thus eliminating the space limitations of current elevators. In addition, the display provides various information such as operation status, weather, news and etc., transforming the elevator into a communication space.

"We focused on controlling the entire elevator by means of a user-centered interface with the concept of 'The Elevator to Anyone'," said a representative of Hyundai Elevator. “Through constant observations of elevator users, we will continue to show designs that can appeal to customers."

Hyundai Elevator won a major prize at the iF Design Award in 2012 for its destination floor reservation system. This year, the company proved its global design competitiveness by winning the gold medal, the best prize, a first in the world's elevator industry.
