KEPCO Nuclear Fuel Co. announced that it received the Excellent Quality Competitiveness Award at the 42nd National Quality Management Convention held at COEX in southern Seoul on November 23 for 16 years in a row.

With constant improvement in quality management, the company has been selected as the most quality competitive firm for 16 consecutive years from 2001. In particular, it received high marks for achievements by establishing its unique KEPCO NF Innovative Production System (KIPS) and carrying out activities to create trouble-free equipment, defect-free products and accident-free sites.

President Lee Jae-hee said, “Today’s honor is attributed to our every effort to constantly upgrade quality and safety levels. We will also continuously make efforts to expand our horizon to the world based on the best quality.”

In addition, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel’s laser circle technology, which participated in the quality circle convention with a theme of “Reduction of Unsuitable Product Rate with Improvement of Spacer Grid Laser Welding Process,” received the Presidential Silver Medal.
