KB Kookmin Bank announced that it has appointed its local employee named Moeung Leakhina as the manager of the Toul Tum Pong branch to be opened in January next year on November 28 in order to localize the management of its Cambodian subsidiary.

Leakhina joined KB Kookmin Bank in February 2007 and worked at the Korean branch until she was relocated to a Cambodian branch with the opening of its Cambodian subsidiary “KB Cambodia Bank” in September 2008. Since then, she has been working as a manager at the local subsidiary.

Based on her business promotion ability and local networking, Leakhina has greatly contributed to the growth of “KB Cambodia Bank” and the expansion of “Liiv KB Cambodia” service that started at the end of September.

KB Cambodia Bank first started business with household loan and business loan at the Beong Leh Ang branch in May 2009 and opened the second branch in Toul Kork in November 2013. It will also open the third branch in Toul Tum Pong in January next year.

An official from KB Kookmin Bank said, “As Toul Tum Pong, which is located in the downtown of Phnom Penh, is an area in where many individual business owners and middle-class families live, it is an ideal location for our local business.  We are planning to increase the number of branches and expand our business areas by localizing the management in earnest.”
