The Korea Christmas Fair 2016 will take place at Kintex in Ilsan from December 9 to 18. In particular, Starbucks Coffee Korea will participate in the event this year. It will carry out the Hope Delivery campaign, a social contribution campaign which raises donation with voluntary participation from its employees, the Youth Leadership Program of Community Store and the Santa Barista campaign as well as jointly hold donation and fund-raising events with non-governmental organization Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea.

Moreover, Lego Korea will open the nation’s first pop-up store at the fair. Chin Kwon-young, head of the marketing division at Lego Korea, said, “We will offer an opportunity for various experiences and carry out active marketing campaigns so that Lego can be a culture both parents and children enjoy.”

In addition, North Jeolla Province, which has decided re-attend the event this year, will promote tourist attractions, such as Hanok Stay, which refers to staying in a traditional Korean house, Bibimbap, World Heritage sites and Taekwondo, and provide visitors with an opportunity to wear Hanbok, a traditional clothing of Korea. It will also display and sell traditional tourist souvenirs at the fair for 10 days.

The Korea Christmas Fair 2016 will be full of other concurrent events. In a special exhibition hall, “Merry Nyamnyam Event,” which sells homemade desserts for Christmas, will be held. The biggest food truck in the exhibition will serve sweet desserts to visitors. This is the perfect place where lovers come on dates.

“Baby & Kids Festival” for family visitors with children will be held from the 15th to 18th. Parents can purchase Christmas presents for their children and have a special time together. Furthermore, visitors can take part in the Christmas Carol Contest.

An official from Kintex said, “As the Christmas fair was visited by more than 160,000 people last year, it proved that it is the largest Christmas event in the nation. There will be more display items and events at the third Christmas Fair this year so both locals and foreigners can enjoy the event. This year, visitors who wear Christmas outfits will be offered special gifts.
