South Korean Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, who visited Peru to attend the APEC Summit Meeting, has a talk with Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on November 19.

 

South Korean Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn visited Peru to attend the APEC Summit Meeting and met with Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on November 19.

In the meeting, the latter said that projects such as KT-1P have yielded satisfactory results and more cooperative projects are expected to follow in the future. In response, the former mentioned that the South Korean and Peruvian governments will be working with each other in a variety of fields such as infrastructure and healthcare.

The KT-1P project is to export 20 trainer jets from South Korea to Peru for US$210 million. A total of 19 have been sent since November 2012. In a follow-up project, 24 FA-50 light attackers are scheduled to be exported for US$900 million. In addition, Peru imported 800 smart petrol cars from South Korea in 2012 and decided to increase the number by 2,185 last year.

Before his meeting with the Peruvian President, the South Korean Prime Minister met with Peruvian Vice President Martin Alberto Vizcarra. There, they discussed South Korean companies’ participation in Lima Metro Line 3 and 4 Projects, which are expected to cost US$5.6 billion and scheduled to be initiated in 2018.
