Doosan Corporation, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Doosan Infracore were all included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2016.

Established in 1999, the DJSI is a set of performance indices jointly developed by U.S.-based S&P Dow Jones Indices, the world’s largest resource for index-based financial research, and Swiss-based investment specialist RobecoSAM. It is the global standard against which the sustainability of companies is assessed based on their financial, economic, environmental and social performance.

Doosan Corporation, which ranked top 20 percent of 600 firms in the Asia Pacific region, has been included in the DJSI for three consecutive years. The company received high marks in operational eco-efficiency, innovation management and corporate social responsibility. It especially ranked top in the eco-efficiency sector, such as greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction was first included in the construction and engineering sector of the DJSI in 2014 and has been included in the DJSI for two consecutive years even after changing its business area to the machinery and electric engineering industry in 2015. The company scored higher than many world-class companies in emerging market strategy, climate change strategy, environmental performance and corporate social responsibility. In particular, it received a favorable evaluation in the climate change strategy and environmental performance sectors as its new renewable energy and low-carbon business expansion strategies, including wind power generation, integrated coal-gasfication combined-cycle power system and energy storage system, has led to the increase in sales.

Doosan Infracore has been included in the machinery and electric engineering sector of the DJSI for seven consecutive years. The company receives high scores in the social sector, such as human resources development and safety and health, every year. This year, it received much higher scores in environmental policy and management system compared to last year.
