South Korea's largest full-service carrier Korean Air Lines Co. will issue corporate bonds worth 500 billion won (US$448.23 million) in the bond market by the end of this month as part of its effort to improve the financial structure.

According to investment banking industry sources on October 8, Korean Air plans to issue 150 billion won (US$134.47 million) worth of one-year corporate bonds on the 24th. The company will carry out demand prediction for domestic institutional investors on the 17th.

Korean Air has also decided to issue US$300 million (334.65 billion won) worth of consol bonds for foreign institutional investors at the end of this month again. 

Previously, the company was seeking to issue US$300 million (334.65 billion won) worth of 30-year corporate bonds in September but put off the plan due to high interest rates.
