Ginseng Extract
The Korea Ginseng Corp. (KGC) said that it will provide Cheong Kwan Jang brand red ginseng powder and drinks to a welcome dinner for employees from China’s Zhongmai Group. During the event, which is hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, they will be offered Samgyetang, or chicken soup with ginseng.
About 8,000 employees of Zhongmai Group, a healthcare product seller, will visit Korea for an incentive trip. They will arrive in two groups of 4,000 each. For each group, the city government will prepare a samgyetang party with a K-pop concert in Banpo Hangang Park, the first on May 6 and the second on 10.
In particular, the KGC will give out a free Cheong Kwan Jang red ginseng powder sampling kit to all employees and serve red ginseng beverage called Red Ginseng Drink Gold during the meal.
An official from the KGC said, “Samgyetang is a chicken soup made with ginseng and sometimes red ginseng. From ancient times, red ginseng and Samgyetang have been considered a good match. We hope that Chinese tourists are happy to enjoy Samgyetang and red ginseng together and experience Korean dish and culture.”
