Mosclean attracts mosquitoes using the state-of-the-art UV LED technology called "violeds."

Producing 1/10th of the ultraviolet light of the sun and 1/500ths that of fluorescent lights, Violeds are used to clean the NASA space station and sterilize things at home. Unlike chemical pesticides, Violeds do not pose harmful effects on the human body and most notably are completely safe for pregnant women, children, and seniors.

Research studies in the field have proven that Violeds can attract more mosquitoes than currently used devices. Especially in the case of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitos, both of which have been recently linked to spreading the Zika virus, the Mosclean mosquito trap has proven to be 13 times more effective.

Headquartered in Ansan, Korea, Seoul Viosys is an affiliate of Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd., a Korean-based company ranked the fourth largest LED-specialized business in the world. Seoul Viosys specializes in UV LED and Blue LED chip technology.
