Caffe Bene, one of Korea's leading home-grown coffee franchises, announced on Apr. 18 that it will release four kinds of super-sized crush drinks (20oz) for summer.
The Crush Summer, a summer seasonal menu this year, includes two kinds of cold brew coffee drinks, which is extracted using cold filtered water with a much longer steep time, and two other kinds of ade drinks, which can enjoy the freshness of fruits. All of the products look like an iceberg covered by snow as shaved ice is piled on the venti sized cups.
The Cold Brew Coffee menu has two types – the Cold Brew Crush, which has the natural flavor and deep scent, and the Cold Brew Latte Crush, which has the softer flavor with milk. They are priced at 4,300 won (US$3.75) and 5,300 won (US$4.62) and expected to be become popular with the cold brew craze in the industry this summer.
The Ade menu, which adds the freshness using sparkling water instead of carbonated drinks, also has two types – the Blue Lemon Crush, which is an upgraded version of blue lemon ade, an icon of summer drinks, and the Honey Grapefruit Crush, which maximizes the freshness using honey-dipped grapefruit and orange. The two are priced at 3,900 won (US$3.40) and 4,500 won (US$3.92). In particular, the Blue Lemon Crush is a cost-effective menu as consumers can enjoy the venti sized ade at some 3,000 won.
